Live updates as Farnham road shut in both directions following reports of crash in Hale

A road in Farnham was closed in both directions after car and a van were involved in a crash. The A325 was shut to motorists on Wednesday (June 28), with slow traffic reported following the incident.

The street[1] was closed between South Avenue and Alma Lane with the incident reported as cleared shortly after 2pm. It is not known at this stage if anyone has been hurt in the incident which took place on a road just off the A325.

A spokesperson for the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call this afternoon around 12.40pm to a report of an RTC (road traffic collision) on Brooklands Road, Farnham[2].

“Three fire engines were sent, arriving at the scene around 12.50pm. A car and a van had been involved in a collision. The incident was cleared and crews left the scene around 13.35pm.”
