Lorry crashes into railway bridge and drops container in Marden, Tonbridge
Residents say a lorry driver “should’ve gone to Specsavers” after the vehicle hit a railway bridge and dropped a container in the road.
The accident blocked Pattenden Lane in Marden, Tonbridge[1], earlier today.

Police, Network Rail and Kent Highways reportedly attended the scene.
Marden Parish Council said Network Rail has confirmed the bridge is not damaged, and trains have been able to run normally.
The council posted about the incident on Facebook, to which one commenter said: “It’s been on the truck backwards so must of been on its way to get filled with scrap metal somewhere at some scrap yard or metal recycling yard.”
