M6 live as crash causes long delays after Coventry exit

Two lanes have been closed, causing long delays after a crash on the M6. A car and a van were reportedly involved in the crash northbound just before Junction 4, for the M42 and Coleshill, at about 9.30am.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured. A post on traffic information website said: “Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident, a car and a van involved on M6 Northbound from J3, A444 Bedworth Bypass (Nuneaton / Coventry), to J4, M42 J7 ( Coleshill ).

“Lanes one and two (of four) remain closed just before the M42 exit slip.” The incident comes after the northbound carriageway was temporarily closed between junctions 2 and 3 earlier in the morning because of flooding.
