Man charged after crash between car and articulated lorry

A man has been charged following a crash between a car and an articulated lorry on the A9.

Police closed the road near Aviemore for over nine and a half hours following the collision between a Vauxhall Mokka and the HGV between the town and Granish shortly after 6pm on Monday.

The driver of the lorry sustained injuries, but they were not understood to be life-threatening.

Officers have confirmed the driver of the Vauxhall has now been charged with careless driving.

The road has since reopened.
