Manchester police said a man was killed Wednesday night in a crash involving two vehicles and two pedestrians.

The crash happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the area of Pine Street and Merrimack Street near the Manchester Fire Department. The scene was still active early Thursday morning.

Police said one of the pedestrians, a 47-year-old man from Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was pushing a 34-year-old woman, also of Manchester, in a wheelchair when he was struck and killed. The woman was thrown from the wheelchair and suffered minor injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.

Police said one of the vehicles involved was a black Honda Civic driven by Hillary d’Entremont, 28, of Manchester. She was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. The other vehicle involved was a white GMC pickup truck. Neither driver was injured, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Manchester police are asking anyone with information to call Investigator Wood of the traffic unit at 603-792-5449.
