Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after crash near Vange housing estate
A motorcyclist was left seriously injured following a car crash in Basildon yesterday (June 8). The incident happened on the junction of Clay Hill Road and Vange Hill Drive where emergency services were called at 5.36pm.
East of England Ambulance Service along with Essex and Herts Air Ambulance and Essex Police attended the scene. The crash involved a car and a motorbike.
The male motorcyclist was seriously injured and was airlifted to Royal London Hospital for further treatment. No other injuries have been reported following the incident.
Both Vange Hill Drive and Clay Hill Road were partially closed as emergency services dealt with the situation. An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 5.36pm on Thursday 8 th June to a road traffic collision involving a car and motorbike on the junction of Clay Hill Road and Vange Hill Drive in Basildon.
“Two ambulances and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene. The motorcyclist, an adult man, was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital for treatment for serious injuries.”
