Multi-car crash in North Hampton, NH leads to DUI arrest and three hospitalized

NORTH HAMPTON, NH (WGME) - A multi-car crash sent three people to the hospital Saturday night and a Maine man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk on the New Hampshire interstate.

Police in New Hampshire responded to the crash on I-95 South in North Hampton just after 9 o'clock.

Through their investigation, they say 50-year-old Douglas McKay of Cape Neddick was driving North on the highway, when his car veered into the southbound lanes into oncoming traffic.

McKay struck another car which then crashed into two more cars.

Police say three people were sent to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries including McKay.

McKay was arrested for aggravated DUI, reckless conduct and vehicular assault.
