Paisley cyclist dies three days after being hit by car on Glasgow street
A cyclist[1] has died after being hit by a car on Fielden Street in Glasgow.
The 64 year-old has been named as John Morton locally from Paisley[2]. He was struck by an Audi A3 on May 29 and was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital[3] where he died on June 1.
The incident happened on Monday morning (May 29) at around 8.40am – while John was cycling in Glasgow he was struck by the car.
Police Scotland say enquiries into the serious crash are ongoing and urge any witnesses with information to come forward.
Police Scotland, Sergeant Andrew Coutts said: “Our thoughts remain with John’s family and friends at this very difficult time for them.
“Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information that may assist us should contact 101 with reference number 0737 of 29 May, 2023.”
