People taken to hospital after crash which closed M5
TWO drivers were taken to hospital after crash which closed the M5 in Worcester.
Police closed the motorway after the crash between junctions 7 and 6 on the northbound carriageway at 10.35am.
An air ambulance attended.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “The driver of the car sustained significant injuries and has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
“The van driver has suspected leg injuries and has also been taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”

A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said they released one of those injured using hydraulic rescue equipment, while the other person had got out of the vehicle before they arrived.
The police have said the M5 southbound reopened across all lanes with one lane open on northbound between Junction 6 and 7.
