Police made no arrests after teen was hit by lorry on A46

The woman, aged 18, was hit by a lorry on the A46 near to Ashton under Hill at approximately 3.25am on Sunday, June 11.

She was taken to hospital and was said to be in a stable condition.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian, near to the junction of the A46 and Station Road at 3.20am yesterday.

“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor were sent to the scene. On arrival, we discovered one patient, a female teenager, who was the pedestrian.

“She was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital.”

West Mercia Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

PC Danny Somner said: “We are looking for any witnesses to the collision to come forward or anyone who was passing through the area this morning who may have dash-cam footage prior to the collision.”
