Recap: Crash clears on M5 Avonmouth Bridge after lane closure and delays
A crash on the M5 left driver facing long delays through rush hour in Bristol. Two vans have reportedly been involved in the collision on the southbound Avonmouth Bridge.
Traffic[1] monitoring system Inrix reports heavy congestion on the motorway between junctions 18 and 19, with one lane closed. The crash is reported to have taken place sometime before 5pm.
Inrix reports: “Slow traffic and one lane closed due to accident, two vans involved on M5 Avonmouth Bridge Southbound between J18 M49 and J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead). Lane four (of four) is closed on the bridge.”
Inrix reported the road had cleared by 5.30pm.
