A60 Mansfield Road reopens after crash closed road in both directions in Nottinghamshire
A crash closed a busy stretch of the A60 Mansfield Road in both directions. The road was closed at Redhill, near Arnold, due to the incident between the A614 Ollerton Road and Little Lime Lane, near the Lakeside Bar and Restaurant venue that’s believed to be closed[1].
The collision was reported near a busy roundabout that connects the A60 with the A614. The road was closed at about 9am on Sunday (July 30) but reopened an hour later, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix.
A 28-year-old eye witness, who asked not to be named, said: “There was an unmarked police car that closed it off. The unmarked police car was before the exit to the roundabout, there were also two trucks at the scene.
“Everyone has been diverting down the other side of the road. It has been quite busy and it’s added another 15 minutes onto my journey towards Mansfield.”
Further details about the incident remain unclear. Elsewhere a stretch of the busy Hucknall Road near Bulwell has been closed due to a separate crash[2].
