Cleveland woman killed in hit-skip crash on city’s East Side, police say
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Police are seeking to identify the driver who struck and killed a 41-year-old woman Wednesday on the city’s East Side.
Lashanda Hood of Cleveland was hit about 12:15 a.m., according to police and the office of the Cuyahoga County medical examiner. A tan or gold SUV, heading northbound in the 3200 block of East 55th Street, struck Hood while she stood in the left lane of the road, police said.
The driver of the vehicle sped away after hitting Hood. The vehicle appeared to have damage to the front area, near the grill and on the hood.
