Officers from North West Motorway Police Group say the smash occurred on the eastbound carriageway between junction 10 and 11 through Hatton. On arrival officers found the collision had involved a Peugeot 3008 and a truck.
A spokesman said: “There were no reports of any injuries and the incident was managed by highways officers.”

“Firefighters gave first aid to three casualties and made the scene safe. All casualties were left in the care of the ambulance service. The crews were at the scene for around one hour.”
