M5 traffic live: Traffic held due to police incident near Bristol
A police incident on the M5 near Bristol brought the southbound motorway to a standstill. The incident happened on the Avonmouth Bridge shortly before noon (Wednesday, July 26).
Traffic was held from junction 18 for the M49 to junction 19 for the A369 Portishead for around 20 minutes. It’s the latest incident on the region’s motorway network this morning.
A collision involving an overturned car towing a caravan[1] brought the southbound M5 to a closure between Tewkesbury junction 9 and Cheltenham junction 10 earlier. While a multi-vehicle crash closed a section of the M4[2] near the Almondsbury Interchange.
