Man dies in Staffordshire crash
A man has died following a fatal collision in Staffordshire. Emergency services were called out to the A515 this morning to reports of a collision between a lorry and a car.
The route – which links Kings Bromley with Lichfield – was closed off in both directions. Now West Midlands Ambulance Service[1] has confirmed that sadly the car driver was dead at the scene.
Emergency services were called to the stretch of Lichfield Road, near Kings Bromley Marina, at 6.55am. The ambulance service sent one ambulance and two paramedic officers to the scene.
A spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found a car and a lorry had been involved in a collision. Sadly, it quickly became clear that the driver of the car, a man, could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene. There were no other patients requiring assessment.”
Staffordshire Police[2] are yet to release a statement on the crash.
