Neighbors are bothered by loud night music and parties: Russell Township police blotter
RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio --
Disturbance, Heritage Lane:
Responding to a loud noise complaint 10:25 p.m. July 22, the officer found the noise to be at a reasonable level. Ten minutes later, the officer was sent back to the same location, with the complainant stating that the music got loud again after being turned down when the officer was present. Again, the music was deemed to be at a reasonable level. The complainant called dispatch a third time but did not want to speak with an officer. Shortly after midnight police checked and the music was done for the night.
Disturbance, Russell Lane:
A neighbor complained of a loud party shortly before midnight July 23. The responding officer spoke to the property owner who was playing corn hole in his backyard. He was advised of the complaint.
The following day, a caller requested advice regarding an incident that occurred at the party where the corn hole game was played. Further details were not available on the initial police report.
Mutual aid, Pekin Road:
After being asked by police in another town to check a residence for a vehicle July 21, Russell Township police found it at that location. The vehicle, a white Ford, was reportedly involved in a hit and run crash. The matter was turned over to the requesting agency.
Assistance, Sweetbriar Lane:
A woman reported 2:09 p.m. July 21 that her purse was stolen from her car while she was at a bank in Chester Township. While the officer was meeting with her to explain she had to file her police report in that township, a bank employee called to tell her she had left her purse at the bank. She went there to retrieve it.
Animal bite, Fairmount Road:
Police took a report for a dog bite 12:07 p.m. July 21. Further details were not available in the incident report.
Traffic hazard, Music Street:
Police attempted to stop a motorcycle 11 p.m. July 21. The driver was using speeds greater than 80 mph on Chillicothe Road prior to turning onto Music Street. The officer followed it but stopped the pursuit for safety reasons.
Suspicious vehicle, Heritage Lane:
Dispatch sent on officer 5 a.m. July 22 to an address where a vehicle was reported to be parked in the road. The vehicle is owned by a resident on the street and it was found to be legally parked.
