Road policing officers are appealing for information after a crash on the A90 near Temple of Fiddes in Aberdeenshire.

The incident happened on the Dundee to Stonehaven road around 4.35pm on Wednesday, July 12 and involved a white Mercedes Viano van and a white DAF lorry.

Two female passengers from the Mercedes, aged 60 and 57, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries. Their condition is described as stable.

A 56-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries.

The road was closed for around six hours to allow for investigations and recovery.

Sergeant Sarah Ritchie of the North East Road Policing Unit said: “Our investigation to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision is ongoing.

“I would urge anyone with information or who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time on Wednesday afternoon to contact us.
