The road has reopened.
TRAFFIC on a busy section of the A9 is flowing freely again after an earlier crash blocked it in both directions, Traffic Scotland has confirmed.
The road was blocked near the B817 junction at Evanton this morning, with Traffic Scotland issuing an alert at 10.45am.
Two vehicles were involved, and it is understood that one of them was a Transit-style van.
There was no immediate information as to whether there was anyone injured, but the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they and their cutting equipment were not required at the scene.
In an update at 12.30pm Traffic Scotland confirmed that the road had now fully re-opened.
