Woman hospitalised after M1 crash in Hertfordshire
Police were called to the scene of a crash on the northbound M1, near junction 9 (Redbourn), just after 4.20pm yesterday (July 20).
Two people were assessed by the ambulance service, at the scene, and one was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
The crash resulted in approximately eight miles of congestion and around 45 minutes of delays for motorists as lane closures were put in place.
The #M1[1] northbound entry slip at J9 (#Redbourn[2]) is closed due to a collision involving a campervan.
1 lane (of 4) is also closed within J9 to allow @HertsPolice[3] to work safely at scene.

By 6.36pm the entry slip road and all lanes within junction 9 were open and delays had cleared by around 7.15pm.
This morning (July 21), an East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed the details and added that one ambulance and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent out.
Update: Herts Police have confirmed two vehicles, a Talbot Express campervan and a BMW 320, were involved and the campervan overturned onto its side.
Both vehicles remained at the seen, no arrests have been made, and further enquiries are being carried out.
