‘Young pedestrian’ taken to hospital after crash with car near Teesside hospital
A youngster has been taken to hospital following a crash in Hartlepool[1].
A fleet of emergency services descended on Easington[2] Road on Friday shortly after 4pm after receiving reports of a road traffic collision near to the Shell garage and the University Hospital of Hartlepool, on Holdforth Road. The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) confirmed they had attended the scene and a ‘young pedestrian’ had been struck by a car, leaving them with a leg injury.
The pedestrian was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees[3], in Stockton[4], via ambulance to be treated for their injuries.
A NEAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 4.06pm this afternoon to reports of a road traffic incident involving a young pedestrian and a car on Easington Road in Hartlepool. We sent an emergency ambulance crew and a Clinical Team Leader and took the patient to North Tees with a leg injury.”
