A12 crash: Pedestrian dies after crash with lorry on A12 in Wrentham
A man has died following a crash on the A12 in north Suffolk. Police were called by the ambulance service at 2.35pm on Friday afternoon (August 25), to reports of a collision on the A12 London Road in Wrentham, at the junction with Walker Gardens.
The collision involved a pedestrian and a lorry. The pedestrian – a man aged in his 60s – sadly died at the scene.
The A12 was closed for several hours, but is has since reopened. Chapel Road, Southwold Road and Mill Lane were also closed.
A Suffolk Police spokesperson said: “Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision, and are also asking any motorists driving in the area at the time with a dashcam in their vehicle to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting reference: CAD 194 of 25 August.”
