A41: Cyclist in hospital with serious injuries after collision with van in Watford
A cyclist has been left in hospital after a crash with a van in Watford. Officers were called to the A41 northbound carriageway shortly before 8.45am on Friday, August 18.
According to police, a cyclist who was riding a silver and black bike was in a collision with a white Ford Transit Connect near the junction with the A405. Paramedics were called and the cyclist, a man in his 20s, was rushed to hospital.
The man was left with serious injuries and remains in hospital. The driver of the van, a 26-year-old man from Luton, Bedfordshire, was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident.
He has since been released on police bail while enquires continue. Herts Police is now appealing for witnesses and information.
PC James McAlister, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch. If you were driving in the area at the time and have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to help our investigation.”
