Car falls off tow truck: Hinckley Township Police Blotter

HINCKLEY TOWNSHIP, Ohio

Property damage: Stony Hill Road

A tow truck crew removing a disabled car from a ditch at 5:42 p.m. July 14 lost control of the vehicle when a cable snapped, causing the car to flip and roll back into the ditch.

The car had reportedly suffered minor damage in the initial crash. Its right side was further damaged in the accident.

The tow truck driver also reportedly sustained minor injuries.

Traffic crash: Stony Hill Road

A driver drove off the side of the roadway and into a ditch, hitting a culvert pipe on the way, in a single-car crash at 10:57 p.m. July 13.

The driver fled on foot but was later apprehended, treated for injuries and arrested.

Driving under suspension: Center Road

A driver was pulled over at 9:23 p.m. July 4 for driving with one headlight.

He was found to be driving under suspension, and the car’s license plate had no county registration sticker. The driver was cited for both license-related offenses and was given a warning for the headlight violation.

Drugs: Stony Hill Road

A driver was pulled over at 12:34 p.m. July 1 and cited for driving without a license and possession of marijuana.
