Driver killed after dump truck veers off N.J. road, police say

The driver of a dump truck died Monday morning after the vehicle ran off of a road in Sussex County, State Police spokesman Detective Jeffrey Lebron said.

Troopers responded to the crash at 10:21 a.m. on Fox Hill Road in Frankford Township, Lebron said. The Ford 800 dump truck was traveling northbound when it veered off the roadway to the left, struck a guardrail and overturned into a wooded area, officials said.

Joseph S. Spagnuolo, 32, of Frankford Township, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, authorities said.

State Troopers are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
