‘Drug driving’ arrest after lorry hits car on M57

Merseyside Roads Policing Unit said an Artic lorry collided with the rear of a Peugeot on the M57, causing serious injury.

Police allege the lorry driver tested positive for cannabis.

The suspect was arrested in connection with this.

As of 2.15pm, traffic feeds said there are delays on the M57.

Live tracker INRIX stated: “Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident, a car involved on M57 Southbound at J6 A506 Valley Road (Kirkby).”
