Gloucestershire’s roadworks this week include new street lights and tree felling

There will be yet more road closures across Gloucestershire[1] this week as road maintenance crews and utility companies work to upgrade infrastructure and repair cracks in the county’s crumbling road surface. Parts of Cheltenham[2] will be restricted while street lights are replaced, and the ongoing tree-felling programme will see routes across rural regions close to traffic.

There will be fewer disruptions from road works in many parts of the county than in recent weeks, but many motorists[3] could still find themselves delayed or diverted. Well-travelled connecting routes like Kidnappers Lane and the A417 near Tewkesbury will see closures while essential roadworks are carried out.

Meanwhile, work on the King’s Quarter development in Gloucester[4] will see some roads in the city centre continue to be restricted for pedestrians, while Highways will also remove some permit holder spaces in the city and replace them with two-hour bays. To find out more about road restrictions and diversions in your area, below are all the announced road closures that will affect Gloucestershire in the coming week and month.
