Live updates as A10 closed to clear oil spillage after crash between lorry and car

The A10 in Cambridgeshire is closed after a crash between a lorry and a car on Friday (August 25). A Cambridgeshire[1] Police spokesperson advised drivers to use alternative routes and said the road could be closed ‘for some time’ due to an oil spillage.

The road is closed between Stretham and Little Thetford. Traffic monitoring site Inrix reports slow traffic on the road.

According to Inrix, the affected stretch of road is between the A1123 Wilburton Road and The Wyches. A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “The road is closed between Stretham and Little Thetford after a collision, please use alternative routes.”

A spokesperson for Stagecoach East said: “Due to an accident on the A10 near Ely[3] roundabout our service 9 bus will be unable to serve Little Thetford. All buses will be diverted down Wilburton Road.”
