Man dies and children injured after Euston crash in Suffolk

A man has died and three others – including two children – have been left seriously injured after a crash involving two Audis. 

Emergency services, including the air ambulance were called to the crash in the A1088 in Euston near Thetford at about 7pm on Thursday to reports of a serious crash involving two cars. 

A silver Audi A4 and a grey Audi A6 were involved in the crash. 

The driver and sole occupant of the Audi A4, a man aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene[1].

The female driver of the Audi A6, a woman aged in her 30s, sustained life-threatening injuries.

All three passengers, two of whom were children, suffered serious injuries. 

They were all taken to hospital by land ambulance for treatment where they remain. 

The A1088 was closed in both directions between the A1066 in Thetford and Rushford Road, Euston[2].

The road reopened at about 10.15am on Friday. 

Witnesses to the collision, or anyone with relevant dash cam footage is asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Suffolk police, quoting CAD 298 of August 17.
