Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in late-night crash in Lyme Regis

A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a late-night collision in Lyme Regis.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the single vehicle collision occurred just before midnight on Saturday, August 12 in Church Street, involving a Suzuki motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle – a man aged in his 20s, from Devon – was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His family has been informed.

Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “An investigation is underway into this incident and we are conducting a number of enquires in a bid to find out what happened.

“I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the motorcycle being ridden prior to the collision to please come forward.

“I am also keen to speak to motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
