Pedestrian injured in Surrey hit-and-run has died

A 31-year-old man who was hit by a vehcile early Saturday has died of his injuries, say Surrey RCMP.

Investigators are hoping witnesses and people with dashcam footage will come forward to help track down the driver, who took off.

Police said the hit-and-run happened in the 8200-block of 128th Street shortly after 12:30 a.m.
The RCMP criminal collision investigation team is working to identify the driver and vehicle, described as a blue sedan with front-end damage, that was last seen headed north on 128th Street.
“Investigators know that there were multiple people on scene, some that may have witnessed the collision or arrived shortly after,” said RCMP Cpl. Vanessa Munn in a statement.
Anyone who was there that night or who may have footage of the crash or suspect vehicle is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
