Police: 1 person hit by vehicle in Downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A woman was struck by a car after getting off an RTA bus Monday afternoon, said Cleveland police.

The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. in the area of E. 18th Street and St. Clair Avenue.

According to police, the woman walked in front of traffic.

She was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, said police.

The accident remains under investigation and the driver is cooperating.
