Police descend on Glasgow M8 after ‘bad accident’ involving multiple vehicles

Police scrambled to the M8 motorway this afternoon following a multi-vehicle collision.[1]

It is understood the crash, near J15, took place at around 12.20pm and involved two vehicles. A picture sent to GlasgowLive shows a Police Scotland[2] van on the motorway surrounding a black and a blue car.

The force says they have received no reports of any injuries.

An eyewitness told GlasgowLive: “There’s a bad accident at junction 15 with three cars involved. Police are at the scene.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were called around 12.20pm today to a report of a road crash involving two cars on the M8 near J15.

“There are currently no reports of any injuries and the vehicles have been removed from the carriageway.

“Arrangements are being made to uplift them.”
