No random parking
Regarding the rampant cases of theft, Putra gave an appeal to residents who own keyless motorbikes to use double locks when parking their motorbikes. In addition, residents are also advised not to park carelessly.
“In addition to conducting routine patrols and joint patrols, we also invite motorcycle owners in the community to participate in securing their respective motorcycles, especially for types of motorcycles that are commonly targeted by motorcycle theft perpetrators,” said Putra.”
The police will continue to increase the quantity and quality of joint patrols to prevent crime. However, from the downstream side, the public must know and realize that the motorcycles they purchase have very weak factory standard security systems, so they must add double SNI keys, alarms, and GPS for anticipation if they are stolen.
“Motorcycles should also be parked in the garage. Motorcycles should not be parked in alleys or public roads to prevent easy access by other individuals, including criminals,” Putra stated.
