Two serious crashes causing delays around Suffolk village

Two car crashes are causing traffic chaos and significant delays in a Suffolk village.
Suffolk police were called just before 10.20am today, August 25, to the B1106 in Great Barton.
The collision involved two vehicles – a car and a tractor.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said that the driver has suffered injuries, but they do not currently believe these to be life threatening or life changing.
The road is completely blocked whilst the emergency services attend the incident.
Emergency services are currently on the scene of two road traffic collisions this morning near Great Barton – on the #A143[1] and #B1106[2].Traffic is very heavy in the area as a result and drivers are advised to find an alternative route.

Minutes after this incident, at 10.20am, the police received a call about another crash on the A143 in Great Barton, the main road which links Bury St Edmunds to Diss.
This collision involved a HGV and a car.
No injuries have been reported, and the road is no longer blocked.
