Crash on Halifax Road in Keighley leads to slow traffic

Police were called to an accident on the A629 Halifax Road, Keighley[1], at just after 7.05am today (Thursday, September 7).

A lorry and several cars were involved in the accident. 

Emergency services attended, including crews from Keighley and Bingley fire stations.

Firefighters helped make the vehicles safe. There were not believed to be any serious injuries. Damage was also caused to a garden wall.

Slow traffic was reported both ways near The Great Northern pub, according to reports.

A West Yorkshire[2] Police spokesman confirmed the details of the incident: “Called at 7.06am to reports of two vehicles in collision on Halifax Road, Keighley.”

The road was not blocked following the crash, the force spokesman added.
