Flint man dies after motorcycle crash, police say
FLINT TWP., MI – A 41-year-old Flint man died early Friday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into another vehicle, according to Flint Township police.
Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. Sept. 29 to the area of Flushing Road and Mitson Boulevard following reports of a motorcycle crash, according to a news release.
The motorcyclist was headed east on Flushing Road when he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old Flint Township resident, police said. The man on the motorcycle was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The other driver has cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Flushing Road was closed for several hours on Friday morning as police investigated the crash. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
Flint Township police were assisted at the scene by the Flint Township Fire Department, Michigan State Police and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
