Lorry driver taken to hospital after crash with tractor on Stoke-on-Trent road

A lorry driver was taken to hospital after his HGV was in collision with a tractor on a Stoke-on-Trent road.

As previously reported by StokeonTrentLive,[1] the accident took place just after 11am on Thursday, September 14 on the A52 Froghall Bank. the road was closed for a shirt while.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “A passing by ambulance crew came across a road traffic collision involving a tractor and a HGV on the A52 Froghall Bank in Stoke-on-Trent at 11.10am.

“Two males who were the drivers of the vehicles, were assessed by ambulance staff. The driver of the HGV had potentially serious injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.

“He was conveyed to Royal Stoke Hospital for further assessment. The driver of the tractor was assessed and was uninjured. He received self care advice before being discharged at the scene.”
