M4 traffic news: Motorway reopens after serious crash

National Highways confirmed on Monday afternoon that two out of the three lanes along the M4 going Westbound between Junction 14 and Junction 15 are now open.

After the incident, Thames Valley Police confirmed that the driver of the coach had been seriously injured in the collision. A spokesperson for the force said: "The driver of the coach has serious injury, no-one else was injured."

One lane has remained closed to allow for vehicle recovery following the crash that took place at around 4.25am.

There are still delays along the road despite it being reopened at around 12.35pm. Travel time along the road is approximately 20 minutes.

After the incident had occurred, a member of the public who witnessed the aftermath described what had happened. They said: “It looks like the bus ran into the back of the lorry and then caught fire.

"There was another car maybe half a mile further on smashed up so had maybe separate.

"Don’t think any other cars are involved."
