Mercedes driver death on A34 inquest to conclude in Oxford

Charles Williams, 24, died after his white Mercedes E63 AMG left the A-road and struck an embankment on January 3.

A full inquest into his death will conclude at Oxford[1] Coroner’s Court on Wednesday (September 20).

When the inquest opened earlier this year, the court heard that Mr Williams, a car sales director who lived in Whitecross, near Abingdon[3], died from traumatic head injuries.

Police said his vehicle left the A34 northbound between the Marcham interchange and the Faringdon Road overbridge near Shippon at around 9.15am.

Officers said the car struck the embankment then came to a stop on the overbridge.
