Motorbiker injured after crash with van on M6 junction 3 island
A motorbiker was left hurt following a collision with a van and a motorbike at the junction of the M6 and A444. Passers-by spotted emergency services at the M6 island close to the turn off for the Bedworth[1] by-pass, heading towards Nuneaton[2] earlier this afternoon (August 31).
A West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS)[3] spokesperson confirmed that they were called to reports of a collision between a van and a motorbike. Medics on two ambulances were on the scene for more than an hour.
The biker was then taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for treatment for his injuries.”We were called to reports of a collision involving a van and a motorbike at the junction of the M6[4] and A444 at 4.20pm,” the WMAS spokesman said.
“Two ambulances attended the scene. We treated one patient, a man, for injuries not believed to be serious, before he was taken to University Hospital Coventry[5] and Warwickshire[6].”
