Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after skip lorry collision

A woman was rushed to hospital after a collision with a skip lorry this morning. The pedestrian – in her 50s – suffered serious injuries after the incident.

West Midlands Ambulance Service[1] said it responded to reports of a crash on Lordswood Road, Harborne[2], at 10am, on Friday, September 22. A woman was treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries, at the scene.

She was then transported to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital[3] for further treatment. Part of the road was initially closed by police and NX West Midlands diverted buses from the area. The A4040 reopened more than an hour later.
