Recap: M4 reopen near Bristol after van transporter crash

A lane was closed on the M4 following a crash near Bristol this afternoon (September 13). According to traffic[1] monitoring site Inrix, the collision involved a van transporter.

It took place heading eastbound between junction 20 for the Almondsbury Interchange and junction 19 for Bristol at around 3.45pm. The motorway reopened and traffic returned to normal by 4.10pm.

Inrix says: “Traffic easing, earlier accident on M4 Eastbound from J20 M5 J15 (Almondsbury Interchange) to J19 M32 (Bristol). Lane one (of three) was closed.”
