‘Severe’ delays as traffic builds after crash on M6 motorway

Two lanes of the M6 Northbound are currently closed.

It comes following a crash between a lorry and a car.

This has lead to queuing traffic, with the AA reporting "severe delays of 27 minutes".

These delays are said to be increasing still.

The lane closures and traffic is between J18 A54 Middlewich Road (Middlewich/Holmes Chapel) and J20 M56 (Lymm Interchange).

The average speed in this area is just 10mph.
