Traffic builds on M1 following road traffic collision
Queues of traffic were building[1] on the M1 following a road traffic collision. The incident is understood to have taken place at around 5pm on Friday, September 22, on the northbound side of the motorway at junction 28 for Mansfield[2].
The congestion was building up to junction 27 for Hucknall, with a travel time at one point of 20 minutes for motorists. Lane four of four was closed.
A lorry in the queuing traffic has also broken down which is added to the delays and caused the closure of lane one. See below for a recap of our live coverage.
