Trucker in hospital after overturned lorry sparks long M6 delays
A trucker is in hospital today after his lorry overturned on the M6. And this afternoon a clean-up operation continues at Junction 15 after police and paramedics were called out at around 6am.
As reported by StokeonTrentLive[1] two lanes were shut off during the morning rush-hour as a recovery operation got underway on the northbound carriageway. Just before midday today and National Highways - who released a photograph of the truck on its side - confirmed that all lanes were back open.
However at the time of reporting just the entry slip to the northbound carriageway at Junction 15 remained shut as debris continued to be cleared. Crews also had to draft in another lorry to take some of the shed load from the road.

West Midlands Ambulance Service[2] were called just before 6.05am with police also responding to the incident. A spokeswoman said: "We were called to a lorry that had overturned on the M6 junction 15 north in Stoke-on-Trent. One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found the driver of the lorry. He was assessed and had sustained non-life threatening injuries. He received treatment from ambulance staff and was conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital[3] for further treatment.”
