Volkswagen narrowly misses crashing head-first into lorry
The driver of what appears to be a silver Volkswagen Beetle was inches away from a head-on collision on the A361.
It happened at around 7.50am on Thursday.
A police car was behind the driver, and the Wiltshire Specialist Operations Twitter page said that the driver told them they were cancelling a call at the time.
"Please pay attention to the road, not your phone," a spokesperson said.

A near-miss for this vehicle this morning, only a miss thanks to the swift reaction of the HGV driver π
"Sorry, I was cancelling a call" isn't worth lives.

They added it was "not worth lives".
The driver was issued with a traffic offence report and reported to court.
The video uploaded by Wiltshire Specialist Operations shows the Beetle swerving over to the wrong side of the road, and narrowly avoiding a collision with the lorry before it swerves back.
The car then pulls over into a layby.
