Woman in 30s dies after Strand crash at Wherstead, Ipswich
Police were called at 7.25am on Tuesday to reports of a crash in the Strand near to the entrance to Suffolk Food Hall at Wherstead.
The collision involved a red Ford Fiesta[1] and a white Isuzu D-Max pick-up truck.
Ambulance crews were also called to the incident and despite the best efforts of paramedics, the driver of the Ford Fiesta died at the scene.
The road between the junctions with the A137 and the B1080, which goes underneath the A14 Orwell Bridge, was closed for investigations and recovery but it has now reopened.
Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision and are also asking any motorists driving in the area at the time with a dashcam to review footage for any material that may be of assistance.
