Wrong-way driver causes crash Saturday morning on Interstate 90 in Cleveland, police say

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A wrong-way driver crashed into a semi-truck early Saturday morning on Interstate 90, causing the westbound lanes to be closed for nearly six hours, according to Cleveland police Sgt. Sabrina Walker and Cleveland fire Lt. Mike Norman.
The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. on I-90 at West Boulevard, Walker said.
Cleveland fire Lt. Mike Norman said the wrong-way driver got onto I-90 at Crocker Road and drove the wrong way until the driver hit his car with the semi-truck.
A woman and two children in the car suffered minor injuries and were taken to MetroHealth in stable condition, officials say. The male semi-truck drive was also taken to MetroHealth with minor injuries. He is also in stable condition.
Authorities shut down the highway as the semi-truck spilled 80 gallons of diesel fuel, Norman said. The highway re-opened at 9 p.m. Saturday.
Police have not released the circumstances surrounding the crash.
