53-year-old Crete man died in crash southwest of Lincoln, sheriff’s office says
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office has identified the person who died in a crash southwest of Lincoln on Saturday. Bradley Kreifels, 53, of Crete, was pronounced dead at the scene, Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said. The crash occurred at roughly 12:30 p.m.
Saturday on Southwest 14th Street just north of Nebraska 33, according to a press release from the sheriff's office. An SUV, which Houchin said was driven by David Warren, 39, of Beatrice, was traveling north on Southwest 14th Street when it collided with the rear of a grain trailer being hauled by a semi. The SUV spun into the southbound lane, crashing into the vehicle Kreifels and a passenger were in.
Warren is currently hospitalized with critical injuries, Houchin said, while the passenger in Kreifels' vehicle remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
